We are a local family run business supplying quality mini diggers to homeowners, landscapers and builders in Chesterfield and the surrounding areas. ND Construction will provide you with quality machine hire at competitive rates for all of your excavation needs.
Our mini diggers are all Hitachi (various zero tail swing models) who are renowned for production of quality plant with excellent power and production capabilities. They are extremely reliable and known in the industry as being the 'Rolls Royce' of mini diggers.
We pride ourselves on our fleet of Hitachi machines and have had some amazing customer feedback with several clients even comparing their power and performance to much bigger machines. All our machines have expanding tracks (width 980mm to 1280mm) which gives the benefit of balancing versatility (due to the compact size) with greater stability in lifting and general performance.
They are ideal for:
- excavating driveways and footings
- garden clearing and levelling
- ponds
- tree stump removal and shrub relocation
- drainage
We can also supply a Concrete Breaker/'Post-knocker' attachment - this is a 'two-in-one' attachment allowing you to use the mini-digger with greater versatility:
- demolition of old concrete driveways and out-buildings
- construction of fencing (4 - 6" diameter circular posts) using the innovative 'post-knocker' function which effortlessly drives concrete fence posts to greater depth with ease.

ABOUT US...
We are a friendly and professional family run business operating in and around the Chesterfield area. We have used a fair few mini diggers over the years and noticed that many digger hire companies used Kubota 1.5 tonners and numerous other brands in the sub 2 tonne category. In our experience we found these to be below par in terms of power and performance, this can significantly affect the productivity and therefore can be less cost effective for your project.
We pride ourselves on undertaking VAST amounts of research before we invested in our fleet. Therefore, we really feel confident that what we are bringing to you via the Hitachi brand really does offer the best performance and reliability for the task at hand...and therefore will get the job done! We have even had numerous customers comparing these machines to various 3 tonne counter-part brands but with improved lifting and stability. The benefit being the compact size (at minimum 980mm width with tracks expanding to 1280mm to give added stability).
